The Man Who Knew Too Much

Musique - "Que Sera Sera" by Doris Day
I am a huge fan of Hitchcock and have been since I was in junior high. I especially love this three films with Grace Kelly. However, since I tend to prefer 1920s and 1930s films in general, I had only seen the 1934 version of The Man Who Knew Too Much until recently. I forget when I put the 1956 version in my Netflix queue, but it arrived at my house one day and I was not all that excited about watching it. I mean, I love Jimmy Stewart, but how much different from the original could it be?
I have got to say that while I did enjoy the 1934 movie, the 1956 one blows it out of the water. I know they call Alfred Hitchcock the master of suspense, but he really deserves it for this movie. Even though I knew what was going to happen—I knew Doris Day had to scream at the concert at the right moment—I was on the edge of my seat (literally) for that entire scene. It's crazy what Hitchcock can do. That man was sheer genius!
